The Wheel of Buddhist Terms poster is a colorful presentation of the main teaching lists used by the Buddha, showing relationships and connections among the terms that are used.

All of the relationships shown by color on the Wheel are explained in the text boxes below. Each box is colored to match its topic and contains the corresponding teaching list with definitions, Pali terms, and a brief statement about the meaning and significance of each teaching list as a part of a single vision aiming at liberation.

As one reads the boxes in order (accompanying the concentric rings from the center out) the Wheel is a coherent presentation of the main poiints of Buddhism, from the facts of existence, to the Buddha's insight into those facts, to the practical path to be followed to realize freedom from suffering.

My purpose in creating this poster was to make a quick reference guide briefly defining the most commonly encountered teaching lists.
The unifying factor that became clear to me while doing research for this project was that all of the different teachings point to one thing: freedom from suffering through non-clinging. It is my hope that this chart may be an aid to others in that understanding.
